This feature would be very great: I just sent a request to the tempo support about having such a feature and was pointed to this request, which is exactly what I need.

    ----

    Dear Tempo team,

first thank you for the great tool. We are using tempo in our daily processes and I love it.

I would like to ask if there is a plan on your roadmap to add grouping by parent to the grouping options in tempo reports. Currently you can only use group by epic (field epic-link), which is working fine for classic Jira projects, but not for nextgen projects.

I have read the following workarounds:

    https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/459866620/Grouping+by+Epic+for+Next+Gen+projects
    https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/6/article/459866620

and I knew this way before. Problem in our case is, that each project is an epic and we do have dozens of them, which causes a kinda high effort for creating the filters, but an even higher effort for creating several reports and merge them later manually in Excel. Having a grouping for the parent field in place, so that you can use this for epics in nextgen projects would be really awesome. The workaround is sadly not really feasible for us.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards
    Florian
