As per my previous comment on this idea, Atlassian added support for custom Project permissions for Next-gen projects. This allowed us to support the Tempo permissions, including the permission to set billable hours on Next-gen projects. This has been available since July 2020.
We are dependent on Atlassian to provide support for billable hours to Nex-Gen projects. We are in collaboration with Atlassian to figure out how we can support this.
Hi everyone,
As per my previous comment on this idea, Atlassian added support for custom Project permissions for Next-gen projects. This allowed us to support the Tempo permissions, including the permission to set billable hours on Next-gen projects. This has been available since July 2020.
Please note that the permission needs to be set on a project-by-project basis. Here is our documentation describing how to use it: https://help.tempo.io/cloud/en/tempo-timesheets/permissions-in-tempo/project-permissions/next-gen-project-permissions.html
Cheers,

Does anyone have any update on this, I can't find this field in NextGen project and we need to add it.
Is it available now?
Atlassian released support for custom Project permissions earlier this summer. Using billable hours with Next-gen projects is now supported.
Update: Atlassian will be launching capabilities to enable this feature soon. Therefor I'm updating the status of this to Planned.
