Allow Multiple Approvers

Many of our clients use Tempo Timesheet to track projects with external members. These externals members can book in different projects, hence, it would be interesting to have a feature where the user can select multiple approvers - one for each project.

Hello everyone, an update for Timesheets Cloud users: we've introduced a Project Approvals feature directly in Timesheets, which is now available in TempoLab, our early access program, for you to test! You can now set up Tempo Projects – whose scopes can be JQL filters, Jira epics, Jira projects, or structures – to approve the hours that matter to you. This new feature allows project managers to approve or reject hours independently from each other. However, please note that project approvals cannot be decoupled from the timesheet approval at this stage. Register for TempoLab: https://help.tempo.io/timesheets/latest/tempolab Learn more about the feature: https://help.tempo.io/timesheets/latest/project-approvals We're excited for you to be among the first to try the feature, and look forward to your feedback. Thank you, Kathryn Vargas Tempo Product Management

We would need this functionality on the Data Center version. I hope it will be developed there as well.

I'm wondering if there is any update on the roll-out of this functionality. Not having the ability to approve time at a more granular level continues to cause issues and we are starting to explore options outside of Tempo.

    Hi Kathryn,

Thank you for the response. I scheduled a meeting on Friday.

You re referring to Tempo Timesheets when you say Timesheets for Jira Cloud, right?

    Regards,

    Mahmut

Please implement! We have several project members in various projects and it is a mess to work with when approving timesheets!

I'll repeat what everyone else has said already. We have agents logging time against multiple accounts/issues which are linked to different Customers.

Each customer however has their own responsible and time has to be approved by this reponsible but only for specific accounts and not the whole period of the agent at once.

@Kathryn, do you have an update on the progress of this work?

In our company, we have teams reporting to different budget owners, and we are unable to utilize the Tempo timesheet approvals due to the inability to segregate timesheets based on teams. This functionality is crucial for us and we would like to request its implementation in the tool.

What plans do you have to implement this functionality? It would be a great help to our company. Currently, in order to approve hours by projects and not by person (each hour allocated to each project is approved by its Project/Service Manager), we have created projects in Cost Tracker. But the functionality is incomplete.

I'm agree with other comment, it's a question of me able to appove timesheet done on multiple project by the responsable of each project and to manage backup of approvers

Thanks to everyone who has booked a call with us so far. We understand most of you might not have the time, so we've prepared this short survey. If you have two minutes to spare, we'd appreciate your feedback at this stage to help us shape and prioritize the right improvements.

    Best regards,

Well, if an approvers gps in holidays, or someone forgot to approve the time entries, then a backup or an admin can approve the time. Ideally, we'd like any person having a permission "approve time" in the permission scheme of the project to be able to additive the time entries. I don't understand this is not already implemented... In 2024 !

Indeed we have many projects with shared resources (profiles like Architects with 25% allocation per project), so each project has a different responsible. On the other hand, we have a different use case which is for a given timesheet, we would like to have two approvers (the Project Manager and the Finance Manager who will produce the invoicing to the Client).
