Currently the planner stores planned time as an amount per day.
If the time period of a planned item is changed from the timeline view (i.e. by dragging one of the ends) then the total time is not respected, instead the calculated daily time is added.
When opening the edit modal, the planned time is shown per day, and selecting Total in the dropdown does not update the input with the total value. Instead it has to be manually recalculated.
This means that managing planned items as a total instead of hours per day can be frustrating when adjusting schedules. I propose having a new option to treat planned time as total. When enabled:
Total time will be shown in the edit modal by default
Adjusting start/end dates from the timeline view will retain the total time
