Most of the time in our IT organization (and many others), subtasks will be added to an issue but the estimated time to complete subtasks is not known or irrelevant so long as the time logged against all subtasks and the parent issue itself does not exceed the original estimate on the parent issue.
We very much need the ability to log work against subtasks containing no original estimate and still have that logged time deduct from the parent issue original estimate. This way, we can always see time remaining at the parent issue level, even when an estimate is not added to every individual subtask. Please and thank you!
