we have a generic resource for each employee to allow us to use the employee for actual planning and the generic resource for future planning, this allows us to create a 3 or 5 year resource plan. it would be great to have the ability to add these generic resources to an allocated time plan so we can see the hours each resource has for a 12 month / week / month / day period to ensure we don't over subscribe a resource.
