Case:
Due to the inner workings of our firm's controlling, the cost rates for all employees change every month. At the moment, we have to adjust said rates for all projects, and thus multiple times per user. The option to adjust cost rates globally has been marked as "shipped" here, although it doesn't apply to users but to roles, which can in fact be globally set. In our szenario, we would have to use roles as a work-around, where we would create one role per user. The crucial point is, however, that it is only possible to set the global cost rates to a single current value, rendering it unuseful to us, as it would make it impossible to correctly backwards-track past time periods.
Suggestion:
Have the option to set global cost rates based on time periods (as it is already possible inside single projects) -> either per user or per role (preferebly both to satisfy as many use cases as possible)
Have the option to have values inside projects automatically update as the rate is updated globally (e.g. by having an option to set which projects' rates are managed globally and which ones are managed per-project)
Thank you!
