Using the new Automation feature in Jira, it would extremely valuable if planning time could be an action that could take place on automation. I would find this valuable in a number of ways:
Automatically plan time when certain issue types are created
Add to planned time on certain transitions, for example after something is moved to QA to add time to a specific QA team member's plan.
We also use the Recurring Task plugin, so connecting recurring tasks and automation on planning mean we could better handle task life cycles with recurring meetings.
