Using the new Automation feature in Jira, it would extremely valuable if planning time could be an action that could take place on automation. I would find this valuable in a number of ways:

• Automatically plan time when certain issue types are created

• Add to planned time on certain transitions, for example after something is moved to QA to add time to a specific QA team member's plan.

• We also use the Recurring Task plugin, so connecting recurring tasks and automation on planning mean we could better handle task life cycles with recurring meetings.
