improve Japanese IME, Search issues type extra character

Hello, I have a problem with the behavior of searching for issues on the calendar with the Japanese IME enabled.

Steps to reproduce

  1. click anywhere on the calendar to display the pop-up window "Log Time" 2.

  2. enter Japanese in the "Search issues" field using romaji input.
    For example, to enter the Japanese word "po", type p, o on the keyboard.

Expected Result

"ぽ" is input.

Actual result

“p” is input.

Explanation of the attached video

The Issue search on the right side of the calendar screen is working correctly. Operated for comparison.
Next, I am reproducing the issue by doing an Issue search on the popup screen.
The issue is reproduced only for the first input after displaying the pop-up screen. The issue is not reproduced when the character is erased with the backspace key and retyped.
When I press the escape key to erase the pop-up screen, for some reason another pop-up screen appears and the letter p remains. I press the escape key again to clear the pop-up screen.
I have repeated the same procedure a couple of times.
