The only sensible solution to this, in my opinion, is to change the Log Time Form optionRemaining estimate is optional so that it has three possible values:
always mandatory
always optional
optional if > 0 afterwards – or equivalently: mandatory if = 0

This is a nonsense that the remaining time go up if we're already spent more than the original estimate
