The need is to have some kind of end-of-month approval to happen in the middle of the week. The managers should approve a partial weekly timesheet so the whole month will be approved, and then continue with the weekly approvals when the week is finished.
Example: The last week of July is 29 July to 2 August. July 31st is on Wednesday. The customer wants that on Thursday morning, August 1st, the managers will approve a partial weekly timesheet from 29 July to 31 July. Then everything continues (but employees cannot change the work logs of July; this is locked), and at the end of the week, the managers will approve the weekly timesheet for the first week of August as usual.

+1 on this - it's hard to manage monthly accounting periods with weekly timesheets
We would love this feature. We have moved from weekly timesheets to monthly because it does not exist, which is not ideal for our organization.
