Idea Manager - Modify column visibility in Ideas view without removing the actual field

Idea Manager - Within the Ideas view, I'd like to update the visibility of the 'view' so all columns aren't shown in the table, without impacting the assignment of fields to the idea. To expand, I want to be able to fill in fields on the pop up screen that shows when you click the idea entry, but I don't want those values to be visible on the summary ideas table.
