When planing future work, I cannot use the project level in order to calculate planned costs (hours x cost rates) or planned revenue (hours x billing rates). I am forced to use a lower level item for the plan (epic, issue, ...).
Why not the project level? Now, I have to create placeholder epics in each project and plan the work on this epic. Even when this placeholder epic has no other use. Planner view looks better if the work is planned on the project level (I can see the project icon.
