1. Audit Log
Financial Manager currently has no audit trail. There is no way to determine who changed what, when — whether it's project renaming, scope reassignment, rate modifications, ownership transfers, or membership changes.
An audit log capturing all FM project changes with user identity and timestamp would be essential for financial accountability. API access to audit data would be a strong plus.
2. Granular Permission Model
FM permissions are too coarse-grained. Users who need operational access (managing budgets, rates, team members, roles, expenses) also have full control over project configuration — including renaming, scope changes, ownership transfers, and deletion.
A permission model that separates admin-level actions (rename, scope, ownership, delete) from operational actions (budgets, rates, members, roles, expenses) would allow organizations to follow least-privilege principles without blocking day-to-day work.
Both features are critical for financial governance in mid-to-large organizations using FM at scale.
