We are requesting the ability to disable the auto-splitting feature in Tempo Capacity Planner independently of the Jira sync functionality. Specifically, we would like Tempo Capacity Planner and Jira to remain in sync for all plan data except auto-generated splits.
Current Behavior:
When Jira sync is enabled in Tempo Capacity Planner, the auto-split feature automatically generates its own Plans. If a team manager or user has already manually set a Plan, this results in duplicate Plans — one created by Tempo's auto-split and one entered manually — causing data conflicts and inaccurate capacity visibility.
Desired Behavior:
We would like the ability to keep Jira sync enabled while disabling auto-splitting, so that:
Team managers and individual users can manually set their own Plans in Tempo Capacity Planner without those Plans being overwritten or duplicated by auto-split.
Jira and Tempo Capacity Planner remain fully in sync for all other data.
Auto-splitting is effectively opt-out per team or per user, rather than being forced on as a condition of Jira sync being active.
This would give our team the flexibility to manage capacity planning manually while still benefiting from the Jira integration.
