The organization requires the ability to maintain complete team structures within Tempo while excluding specific users from timesheet submission and compliance processes.
Currently, management and leadership members need to remain within their operational teams for reporting, team structure visibility, and organizational alignment. However, these users are not required to submit timesheets and should therefore be excluded from timesheet compliance monitoring and reminder notifications.
Scenario 1: Team Members Not Required to Submit Timesheets
A team consists of 5 members, including 2 management users who are not required to submit timesheets.
Management users must remain members of the team for organizational and reporting purposes.
These users should be excluded from:
Timesheet submission requirements.
Open or missing timesheet status reporting.
Approval log extracts showing an "Open" status.
Automated timesheet compliance reminder notifications.
Compliance reporting should only include users who are required to submit timesheets.
Scenario 2: Administrative Team Classification
As an alternative, users could be placed in a separate team configured as an Administrative Team.
Based on current understanding, Administrative Teams are excluded from capacity planning and shared resource views but do not exclude users from timesheet submission requirements.
Clarification is required on whether Administrative Team configuration can:
Exclude users from timesheet compliance reporting.
Prevent users from appearing in approval logs with an "Open" status.
Exclude users from reminder notifications related to outstanding timesheets.
Tempo should provide a configuration that allows designated users to:
Remain members of a team.
Be excluded from timesheet submission requirements.
Be excluded from timesheet compliance tracking and reporting.
Not appear with outstanding or open timesheet statuses.
Not receive automated timesheet reminder notifications.
This functionality would allow organizations to maintain accurate team structures within Tempo without creating separate teams, manual workarounds, or maintaining external Excel-based exclusions for management and non-timesheet users. The solution would improve governance, reduce administrative effort, and ensure timesheet compliance communications are sent only to users who are required to submit timesheets.
