Replacement/Alternative for the Period checkbox in Log Time window.

Hello,

During our use of the Tempo plugin (and the suite) we have noticed that the Period checkbox when logging time is not always the most useful or needed thing.

I would like to suggest that we are given the option to switch between a simple date/time format or the period based time submission.

And if the above idea is not possible, to have the option to disable the Period checkbox entirely.
