Tempo was brought in at our workplace to take over for our paper time sheets but is very limited for payroll functions as we need to confirm time sheets submitted/approved and refer back to them for reporting, would be great to have like a payroll master screen where only payroll staff had access with the following,
See all employees with status of their time sheets, teams, manager etc (currently we have about 12 teams and have to go into each to see where they are up to)
We also have to have permissions turned on to be able to see the approval tab under teams but this then adds us to the options for where people want to submit their time sheet to.
Set default pay periods (Currently we keep having to reset this when we open time sheets)
Add payroll notes for auditing purposes
Run and export reports as seen on the screen (not the full CVS file)
It feels like tempo has the potential to be a useful payroll tool but currently very limited and still very job/task focused with limited improvements around time sheets and related processes.
