Bulk edit worklogs- Cloud

Common issue is to be able to bulk move many worklogs from one issue to another one. Also, recurrent error during a period that needs to be fixed.

Other examples use-cases

    Hi Svitlana, thanks for sharing your use case with us. We are going to release a feature soon that will allow users to access bulk editor from logged time reports, Team and user timesheet and edit selected worklogs. That should help you use all the filters that are currently present in the logged time report like Project, Teams, Roles etc.

    Thanks for adding a possibility to change billable time in bulk per user+issue. Great work!

    Please, let me know if you have the plan to add filter per whole project? (reduce all billable despite users)

    Hi, we have released the Bulk edit phase 1 that allows cloud users to Delete and Move worklogs between Jira issues. We are currently working on Phase 2 that will enable updating Billable hours and Account attribute on selected worklogs. It's planned for Late Q1'22. Learn more here- Help center

    Thanks for the released feature to bulk delete worklogs! Could you, please, sprcify if you have the plan to release feature to bulk delete only BILLABLE, while keeping user worklog?

    We have just released the Bulk Delete feature in TempoLabs (It's the first bulk action and more will be added later), to try the feature please see https://help.tempo.io/cloud/en/tempo-timesheets/bulk-delete.html. We will be releasing it to everyone in upcoming weeks after collecting some feedback. Thank you!

    Update: We have split this idea into Cloud and Server. The Server idea is T-I-1151. Both Ideas are in planning and we will release this feature in cloud first followed by server/DC

    I concur with comments below that the ability to bulk edit worklogs is linked to many use cases and indeed it should not only allow one to move a worklog to another task but also to mass update attributes of worklogs, including work attributes.

    Some of our use cases,

    • fixing errors where the wrong account has been used

    • we use a "waiting for PO" account which is used when we don't have an account to reflect a client purchase order (i.e. ongoing sales cycle, or working at risk). when the PO does come in we need to move worklogs around, sometimes between different accounts. this happens regularly.

    • account conversions. for us our accounts are linked to a sales order which in turn dictates a rate, typically related to different resource roles. we have cases where clients buy different rates and then need to convert one to another. each account has a budget, and so tracking the budget is important. when we convert contracts we need to move worklogs around where these need to reflect the new account structure and reconcile the budget.

    +1 for bulk edit timelogs logged on the wrong task, I need to manually fix 1500 entries as we need the data in de API...
