The planning view should provide a switch to show how much (in percentage) of the workload scheme is already planned.
In detail: the planning overview currently shows the absolute hours planned for each user. A switch would be very helpful to change the hours to the percentage of the available hours already planned. The available hours are the hours from the users workload scheme.
