Change billing rate from a certain point in time

I see there is a way to change the cost of a developer from a certain point in time, which totally makes sense. But in case of an ongoing support situation the rate we are charging the customer, might also change at some point. It would be nice to track that too, be able to change the billing rate and tie the change to a date. It would also be useful for our clients who don’t pay in USD, to track how the changing exchange rates effect the revenue, by changing the billing rate every month based on the exchnage rate.

Having the ability to update the global default rate, to reflect rate cards per year i.e. 2024 Rate Card, 2025 Rate Card, and then where you have a project that goes over multiple years, we need the ability to update the project rate card to the new year, without impacting the previous years time entries.

Said another way, consider a project starts in 2023 and ends in 2025. But each year, the business rate card increases, meaning there would be a unique rate card for 2023, 2024 & 2025. So in Tempo you'd want to define these unique rate cards as GLOBAL rate cards, and then apply them to projects, with a START DATE, and it would then only affect timelogs/entries from that date onwards.

From what I understand you write about being able to change this defined "Billing rate" in the whole project, not in individuals. Taking into account what was the historical rate and from what date the cost tracker should take into account the new rate, yes?
Over the years, about 20 people have worked on one of my projects, and changing the rate for them is slightly annoying. It will be great to have the option to do it for the whole project just with one click :p It could work just like changing the billing rate for individuals.

But it looks like it was misunderstood by Tempo.

Updating individuals could be great, but first we need to be able to update the global default rate without impacting previous time entries.
