When setting the display format for durations in Tempo Reports, there are currently three options: 3.25
decimals, 3.25h
decimals with unit and 3h 15m
units. I suggest that users could also change the main unit from hours to working days d
, so e.g.: 1.3
, 1.3d
and 1d 7h 12m
. The length of a working day should be configurable and default to 8h as in Jira.
Arguably, there could also be a use case for calendar days of 24h, but I do not have one at hand, except that it's the base unit in date and time calculations in spreadsheet applications like Excel, so it might help with exports.

This function is highly requested by my team.
In addition, the duration of the recording can correspond to the duration configured in the load plan defined for the user. These parameters can be found in the Staff section. For example, if a user records 0.5 days per day and the work log is configured for 7.30 hours, it will display 3.45 hours.
For the estimated time, it will take the duration configured in the time tracking settings of jira.
I consider this as a must have feature, hope it gets prioritized soon! Have a good day.
