Suppose for JIRA issue ABC-123 I comment on it at 9am and at 3pm on the same day.
I would like the optional on the Activities 'List' view to coalesce all the time for JIRA ABC-123.
So instead of showing 2 activities for ABC-123 of 15mins each, if coalesce option is on, it shows simply a 30min entry for ABC-123.
As many users will just want a single entry for ABC-123 in the day, giving the total time spent.

+1 for this idea — this would be very useful for our users as well.
One additional aspect that would make it even more valuable is to aggregate activities by Jira Work Item + Day.
For example, if Tempo detects:
ABC-123 — 15m
ABC-123 — 15m
ABC-123 — 15m
it could optionally display a single activity:
ABC-123 — 45m
If more activity is detected later on the same day for the same work item, the existing suggestion could simply be increased.
Making this optional/configurable would be ideal, so users who prefer the current detailed view could keep it.
This would make reviewing activity suggestions much faster and reduce the amount of manual adjustment before logging time.
