Since custom Jira fields can now be used for grouping (but not filtering) in Timesheets Reports T-I-271, they also need to be sorted correctly. Unfortunately, date fields seem to be sorted alphabetically and since they use DD/MMM/YY – instead of an ISO format like YYYY-MM-DD, even if that’s been selected in UI Preferences –, 1 March comes before 2 January or 3 February. (Luckily, a leading zero is used, so 10 January doesn’t come before 2 January.) Please implement natural sort for dates in Tempo Timesheets Reports. (You can then also make the standard Jira field duedate available for grouping.)
Ideally, date field values could even be combined by week, month, quarter or year in the report, but that’s probably a separate idea.
