Currently, we can only retrieve project approval data through the API when we are designated as project approvers.
However, this poses a challenge because in our organization (and I am sure in many others) , we are responsible for data management and not for project approvals.
Including the data team as project approvers clutters the approver drop-down list, causing confusion and inefficiencies.
To address this issue, we propose
introducing an additional level of permissions
or introducing new project roles.
or any other solution which will allow non-approvers, such as our data team, to access the detailed project data without being listed as approvers.
The relevant data we need to access includes: Periods , Users , Project details , Time entries, Approval status etc.
Implementing this change would streamline our operations, ensuring that only the relevant personnel are designated as approvers while still enabling access to necessary project data for data analysis and reporting purposes.
