We work with a mix of internal employees and external contractors from multiple vendors (across different teams). We need a way in Tempo to easily identify users by vendor, track work performed per vendor, and calculate costs based on individual hourly rates.
Business Requirements:
User identification by vendor
Ability to associate each user with a vendor (or mark them as internal).
Vendor field should be available as a filter and grouping option in Tempo reports.
Work tracking per vendor
Generate reports that show, for each vendor:
Total hours logged.
Breakdown of hours per individual user.
Cost calculation
Ability to assign an hourly rate per user (rates may vary within the same vendor).
Reports should calculate the total cost per vendor based on logged time and each user’s rate.
