Seems like you need to change your team custom field format quite often, resulting in compatibility with tools like Almworks Structure to break (and not really offer a sustainable fix for this).
For end users this shows as difficulties in handling the data as the format of the tempo team field is such that by default you'll get just ID out of it when querying the value. Some of the more advanced users could add a bit of code to handle the situation with a formula based resolution, but to most this just appears as broken for no apparent reason.
As far as compatibility across jira plugins go, plugin specific fields with critical data are as vital to keep compatible as API's. Please consider treating them as such.
