Excluding Certain Jira Projects form the "Period Management" function

Presently some Jira projects (non-IT business units) operate independently from our month end process with regards to Timesheets, specifically when we close the month ("Period Management" function).

Is there any way to exclude specific Jira projects from the "Closing Period" process?
