Create a configuration option that activates "Set start and end time" for "Log Time" by default Merged

I need to log start and end time for every work log, and the new dialog for "Log Time" requires me to click "Set start and end time" and then click into start time each time. [Also, "XXYY" is no longer automatically translated to "XX:YY" which is very annoying.]

Please make a configuration option that provides us with the previous features of the "Log Time" dialog which was much more beneficial to my workflow than the current one.
