Revenue to be manually entered or imported

Revenue is now calculated as hours worked (billable) x sell price. Sometimes, there's more in revenue, so it could be either-or:

  • either the method that is now

  • or manually entered - or via API

Other project costs have this option now, it would be beneficial to add it for revenue also.

The Financial Tracking product would be great if we were a business that billed out on an hours basis. Our business model is subscription-based. This means that we have a known revenue each month for the contract period that has nothing to do with the number of hours burned. I can use the Budget feature for Revenue; however, the metrics (GM, for example) are geared toward hours-based Revenue.

    Agree.

In the same way that we can add expenses (cost) it would be very useful to add other revenue items either then Labor items.

Usecase: sometimes we bill/invoice the client for other items (e.g. infrastructure, travel, etc). If we don't enter those in Cost Tracker, this report, and the net profit margin for the project, will not be accurate.
