We estimate and track work according to work packages. A work package has an estimated # of hours and various activities. For an engineering work package, it may have, define, dev, test, deploy. But, our WBS includes more than engineering. It also have separate work packages for Business Development, Configuration Management, et al. Each of those different types of work packages have different subtasks. We would like to limit the "Type of Work" static list to only those items that apply for that issue type. If it's an Eng WP, then it has several items. If it's a BD WP, then it will have other items to choose. For now, we are looking at a single long "Type of Work" static list with 20-some items which is getting some grumbling from people ... and can accidentally lead to inadvertent categorizing of work.
