At the moment if you want to search for a issue it will perform the search throuch every issue and does not take into account which tab you have selected.
It would be great if the search is performed in the selected tab only. For example you search in all your assigned or marked as favourite issues with a specific term. In JQL you would write it as (assignee = currentUser() and summary ~ "your_prefered_search_term").
