Instead of configure maximum hours logged per day by users on a global level, having this configuration listening to the user's assigned workload scheme would be helpful. There might be a scenario that a user is working half time (4h a day) and the employer would like to set the maximum hours logged per day by that user to 4 hours but possibly have the maximum hours logged for full time employees set to 8 hours.

Agree, it would be very useful.
Much required feature.
Can you please look at implementing this feature in the Cloud as well.
We have a need to limit maximum hours per day to individuals or teams for regulatory reasons. This is an excellent suggestion which would address our issue.
I agree - it would be very useful
Would be much appreciated!
Would be very useful indeed, now people can actually log more time than permitted, if workloads differ per region.
This functionality would be very useful in managing our employment compliance risk. We are a multi-national corp with different work rules in the different countries where we do business. Using Workload Scheme to (optionally) limit how many hours/day an employee may work would help us to mitigate compliance risk and overtime rules. Once we are fully up and running with Jira this summer we will have 10K users on a data center-hosted instance.
