Projects for recurring, monthly service contracts

We have quite a few clients with service contracts who pay a monthly fee for maintenance, updates, etc. I saw that there will be new budget milestones but they would not allow only looking at each month individually. Right now I would have to create a new project each month for each customer which is not a reasonable solution for us.

So being able to create projects for regular, recurring budgets in Cost Tracker would be a great feature for us.

I have read through the comments below and clicked on the links and there not the same thing. There are lots of projects or accounts that have rollong monlthly budgets. There is a need to see if we are over or under the budget for the month. The issue is the cumulative feature of the current milestones.

For me this would be one of the highest priority items to do. Currently, the product only caters for milestone projects. These are normally Scrum-based projects for me and this works ok for them.

The big bread earners tend to be Saas/ retainer/ SLA/ partnership and would require a monthly budget. This is easy to set up you just need a tick box next to the milestone creation to drop cost back to zero over a period (In its simplest form).

Could be improved in combination with https://ideas.tempo.io/ideas/VPRO-I-1 perhaps!
