Use case: We need to estimate the required added staff (hieings) when we plan for a new customer project. For example: What’s the timeline if I add three more Engineers in that team, does it allow us to deliver the scope in time? Should we add two freelancers for n months to minimise understaffing (> 100% commitment in planning view).
The capacity planning doesn’t account for generic resources. I would habe to assign actual users which would mess up the planning overall.
We are currently using excel to forecast the FTE requirements for a given set of projects.
