There should be a way to set each individuals cost/rates on a global level. The devs, QAs, POs cost the same, no matter which project they work on and if we raise the rate of a dev, he/she will cost more on every project, it would be great if I wouldn’t have to make this change on every project, Cost Tracker would just pull the default value. There are already default costs for roles on a global level, why not for each individual as well? Each employee has a different salary based on their seniority level and geographical location, so it doesn’t help much to set roles, when a developer in Europe who is using the office, has much higher costs than a developer sitting in India on a freelance basis. For the billing rate, it makes sense to set it per role, but not so much for the cost.

I agree with this and we need this feature for our company.
To set global rate for individual contributors / workers. Instead of different per project. Also there would be great to add feature for permissions to see and edit cost and billing rates only for specific users / groups

Also, centralized user cost rates could require different view and edit permissions (HR, team lead) than role billing rates (PL/PM).
