Our business runs with Departments/Tempo Teams (Team1, Team2, Team3) these are fixed. All members inside works on different Jira projects.
To plan work for them we set up Jira projects with Epics assigned to the right tempo team.
To be able to check capacity, the team leaders will fill in:
Start date
Due date
Tempo team
Original Estimate
In this way the block (Epic) will be planned for the team. This will utilize capacity. This works fine!
A portfolio manager can check if there is room for more work for different projects or have to schedule this for next week/month/quarter.
But, when tasks (within that same Epic) are planned we see something strange.
The individual allocation will be filled with hours. On top of this, the epic that is also planned for this period contains hours as well. So the utilization will be wrong. It counts double!
Can capacity bar include this information and don't count it double? When you click on it, inside information are represented properly.
Or as a user, can I decide which information should be represented graphically by this bar. Some switch between High Level Team Plans and Individual Allocation.
