Currently, it is possible to run an infinite number of trackers at the same time. This is a quite unnatural workflow for our team. They only can work on one thing at a time. Therefore, they have to stop the last tracker and then start the new one – leaving a time lag.
My suggestion is to add an option so that users can auto-pause previous entries when they start a new entry. This would allow them to start many new timers throughout the day and not worry about double-tracking time. At the end of the day, they could save paused timers. This process would look like this:
Bob starts tracker on ticket ABC-111
Bob works on ticket ABC-111
Bob starts tracker on ticket ABC-222
Tracker for ticket ABC-111 is paused
Bob works on ticket ABC-222
At the end of the day, Bob saves tracker ABC-111 and ABC-222
An interim step would be to provide an API for running trackers.
